Gandino-Saadein for Congress
Justin Gandino-Saadein announced his candidacy for the United States House of Representatives, 2014 election cycle. Gandino-Saadein completed his campaign as an Independent in the 3rd District of the Commonwealth of Virginia – the seat currently held by Democrat Bobby Scott.
His immediate goal, if elected, is to raise the minimum wage, reduce taxes on small business owners and improve medical care and other vital services for military veterans. Gandino-Saadein possesses the strong independent and entrepreneurial values Congress sorely needs.
Gandino-Saadein enlisted in United States Marine Corps in 2003. He spent a decade in the Armed Forces and earned several honors for his service. Gandino-Saadein, first stationed in Cherry Point, North Carolina, has served nearly 21 months in combat being deployed to such locations Al Taqaddum and Ar Ramadi, Iraq.
He is a recipient of the United States Marine Corps Humanitarian Medal, given in recognition of rescue work he performed after the devastating Japanese earthquake of 2011. Gandino-Saadein also received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his achievements as an international air traffic control instructor at Naval Air Station Pensacola.
